Quality Systems Manager – Christchurch

About the role

Davin Industries is seeking a hands‑on Quality Systems Manager to own and energise its Quality Management System. You will work directly on the shop floor, partnering with teams to embed quality into everyday processes and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
• Partner with operational teams on the floor to ensure quality concepts are understood, applied and enhanced.
• Plan, coordinate and execute internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and timely corrective actions.
• Identify improvement opportunities and drive effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain clear, usable quality documentation and ensure it is actively referenced.
• Coach and support teams to build capability and ownership of quality processes.
• Monitor, analyse and report on quality performance, turning data into actionable insights.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Quality Systems Manager or in a similar role within manufacturing or engineering.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO standards and quality frameworks.
• Hands‑on approach with willingness to engage directly with teams and processes.
• Practical problem‑solver with strong attention to detail.
• Clear communicator able to influence and build trust at all levels.
• Relevant qualifications in engineering, quality or a related discipline (preferred).
