Quality Officer – Pharmaceutical GMP

About the role

The Quality Officer will support Viatris’ commitment to delivering high‑quality medicines across New Zealand. Reporting to the Compliance Supervisor, you will help ensure that products meet all regulatory and safety standards before reaching the market.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Quality Oversight reviews to release products to market.
• Support Quality & Compliance activities, including documentation management such as technical agreements and vendor qualification.
• Ensure all processes comply with GMP requirements and relevant legal, regulatory and safety standards.
• Provide reliable internal and external customer service while driving continuous improvement and problem‑solving initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical or related industry with solid knowledge of GMP.
• Relevant quality qualification preferred (e.g., NZOQ Certificate in QA).
• Excellent attention to detail and strong oral and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacy, etc.).
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand (citizen or appropriate visa holder).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
