Quality Officer – Pharmaceutical GMP

About the role

Viatris is seeking a Quality Officer to support its portfolio of pharmaceutical and nutraceutical brands from the Head Office in Mount Wellington, Auckland. Reporting to the Compliance Supervisor, you will ensure product releases and quality activities meet GMP standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Quality Oversight reviews for product releases to market.
• Support Quality & Compliance initiatives, including documentation management such as technical agreements and vendor qualification.
• Ensure all activities comply with GMP, legal, regulatory and safety standards.
• Provide reliable internal and external customer service while contributing to continuous improvement and problem‑solving projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical or related industry with solid knowledge of GMP.
• Relevant quality qualification preferred (e.g., NZOQ Certificate in QA).
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacy, etc.).
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand (citizen or appropriate visa).

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
