Quality Assurance Director

About the role

Lam Research is seeking a strategic and hands‑on Quality Assurance Director to lead the Quality Department at its Malaysia manufacturing site. This senior position is responsible for the full quality ecosystem, from daily sustaining activities to continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) across a global operation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and communicate a long‑term quality strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Own and continuously improve the company’s QMS, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and semiconductor customer requirements.
• Lead internal and external quality audits, driving timely corrective actions.
• Establish and monitor KPIs, reporting performance and trends to the executive team.
• Mentor and develop a high‑performing team of quality engineers, analysts and technicians.
• Handle customer escalations, structured problem solving and cross‑functional collaboration.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of statistical data analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Extensive experience with ISO 9001 standards in a semiconductor or high‑tech environment.
• Proven critical‑thinking abilities and strong leadership communication skills.
• Track record of driving cultural change toward a "quality first" mindset.
