About the role
We are looking for a qualified or experienced spray painter to join our team in Ashburton. The successful candidate will work on trucks, buses and other commercial vehicles, applying high‑quality paint finishes in a busy workshop environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding and masking as required.
- Mix and match automotive paints and coatings according to specifications.
- Operate spray equipment to apply paint evenly on trucks, buses and other heavy vehicles.
- Inspect finished work to ensure colour consistency and finish quality.
- Maintain a safe and tidy work area, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Required profile
- Qualified or experienced in automotive and heavy‑vehicle spray painting.
- Ability to work on a variety of commercial vehicle types.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
