Purchasing Specialist – Procurement & Inventory Optimization

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Purchasing Specialist to support the optimisation of purchasing and inventory processes at our Clandeboye manufacturing site. You will work closely with vendors and internal procurement teams to ensure accurate pricing, reliable supply, and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Process and manage purchasing activities, including raising and approving purchase orders and maintaining accurate system data.
• Monitor open purchase orders, resolve invoice discrepancies, manage blocked invoices and track delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to apply correct contract rates, terms and master data.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, systems and contractual obligations.
• Support inventory and stores operations, including receipting goods, coordinating stock movements and assisting with logistics.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency and inventory optimisation.

Required profile

• Organised and proactive purchasing professional with strong attention to detail.
• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory management.
• Excellent prioritisation and time‑management skills, able to handle competing demands.
• Commitment to data accuracy, compliance standards and continuous improvement.
• Effective communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
