Property Consultant

About the role

WSP New Zealand is seeking a Property Consultant to join its South Island regional team. You will work on acquisition, disposal and legalisation projects, providing trusted advice to clients across a range of property‑related initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality outcomes for acquisition, disposal and legalisation projects.
• Collaborate with the wider WSP Property team to support consultants and share expertise.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for clients and stakeholders.
• Engage with property owners, government agencies and other property professionals.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in property, law or a related field.
• Minimum three years of professional experience in a property or legal discipline.
• Knowledge of the Public Works Act, Local Government Act, Reserves Act and related legislation (advantageous).
• Strong attention to detail, time‑management and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a regional team.

Required skills

• Experience with property valuation and property law processes.
