Property / Commercial Lawyer – Senior Solicitor or Associate

About the role

Client Legal Solutions is looking for an experienced Property / Commercial Lawyer to join its Nelson office (with flexibility for Richmond or Motueka). The role will work closely with the firm’s directors and the wider property and commercial team, focusing on a broad range of property transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage residential, commercial and rural property matters.
• Lead complex property transactions, including development and subdivision work.
• Provide business and asset planning advice.
• Offer technical support and troubleshooting to the property team.
• Mentor, supervise or support junior team members.
• Contribute to process improvement and system enhancements.

Required profile

• 4+ years post‑admission experience in property law.
• Strong technical ability and professional judgment.
• Confidence in managing files and client relationships.
• Practical, client‑focused approach.
• Collaborative style with a willingness to support colleagues.
• Drive to strengthen and grow a property/commercial practice.
