Promotions Representative – Music & Radio

About the role

The Promotions Representative will drive visibility and success of Sony Music’s New Zealand and priority international repertoire across the country. Working with artists, management, label and marketing teams, you will coordinate radio promotion, publicity and on‑ground touring support to maximise audience impact.

Key responsibilities

• Pitch priority singles weekly to commercial, alternative, community and specialist radio stations and develop tailored radio strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with music directors, programmers, on‑air talent and media professionals.
• Coordinate artist interviews, on‑air performances, station visits, giveaways and other radio activations.
• Track airplay, compile reports and share updates with internal and international stakeholders.
• Create and manage publicity schedules for NZ and priority international releases, securing interviews, features and reviews.
• Prepare and distribute press materials such as releases, bios, imagery and media assets.
• Organise promotions, fly‑aways, competitions, showcases, launches, listening sessions and fan activations in partnership with radio and media outlets.
• Handle logistics including venues, guest lists, run‑sheets, travel arrangements and artist liaison.

Required profile

• Proven experience in music radio promotion and publicity.
• Strong network of contacts within NZ radio, media and entertainment sectors.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
• Collaborative mindset to work closely with artists, management and internal teams.
