Project Site Supervisor – 2‑Year Fixed‑Term

About the role

We are looking for a practical, safety‑focused leader to act as the on‑site representative for the Ōhau Electrical Programme across the Upper Waitaki sites. In this hands‑on, two‑year fixed‑term position you will ensure that complex electrical, mechanical and automation works are planned, coordinated and delivered safely from installation through to commissioning, operational handover and close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day site activities and manage site access, inductions and contractor movements.
• Drive safe work practices and enforce health‑and‑safety obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Plan and monitor work within outage windows and programme constraints.
• Liaise with Project and Programme Managers, Site Engineers, contractors and operational stakeholders to keep progress on track.
• Identify and manage critical risks in a high‑risk hydro environment.

Required profile

• Experience delivering complex infrastructure or technical capital projects, preferably in electrical, mechanical or automation environments.
• Strong contractor coordination abilities and a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
• Ability to build trusted relationships, communicate clearly and influence without formal authority.
• Confidence to raise safety concerns and a commitment to continuous improvement.
