Project Manager – Regional Projects

About the role

TBIG is seeking a Project Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of regional projects across the Whanganui‑Manawatū area, based in Palmerston North. You will work on initiatives in education, health, defence and government, guiding projects from design through construction to hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project planning, execution and delivery, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, building trust with clients, consultants and internal teams.
• Procure and coordinate consultants and contractors to achieve project objectives.
• Maintain rigorous cost control, including financial reporting, cash‑flow monitoring and invoicing.
• Oversee team deliverables, produce regular progress reports and present updates to clients.
• Facilitate and chair project meetings, record actions and ensure follow‑up.

Required profile

• Professional, can‑do attitude with strong client‑service focus.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects across different phases.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience working with regional or public sector projects is advantageous.
