Project Manager - Property & Buildings

About the role

WSP is seeking a junior Project Manager to join its Auckland team and support a strong pipeline of Property & Buildings projects across the region. This role offers the chance to own projects from initiation through delivery while learning from experienced leaders in a nationally recognised consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with managing projects to deliver on time, within budget and to a high quality standard.
• Prepare project briefs, specifications, contract documentation and fee estimates.
• Coordinate project teams and maintain clear communication across stakeholders.
• Build strong client relationships and provide proactive updates on project progress.
• Support financial management including budgeting, forecasting and invoicing.
• Identify and manage risks to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.
• Apply structured project management methodologies while adapting to project needs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement through feedback and lessons learned.

Required profile

• A relevant degree in Property, Construction, Engineering or a related field.
• Experience assisting with project delivery within the built environment or consultancy sector.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Understanding of project delivery frameworks, contracts and risk management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Client‑focused, solutions‑oriented approach.
• A clean, current driver’s licence.

Required skills

• PMP certification (or working towards).
• PRINCE2 certification (or working towards).
