Project Manager – Large‑Scale Construction

About the role

The Icon Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of large‑scale construction projects across New Zealand and Australia. You will be accountable for the full project lifecycle, from initial concept through to handover, ensuring outcomes meet time, budget and quality expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and deliver construction projects valued from $100 million to $800 million.
• Develop and maintain detailed schedules, budgets and resource plans.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams including architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Maintain compliance with regulations, codes and safety standards.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams.
• Provide regular status reports to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience managing large‑scale vertical construction projects.
• Proven track record of delivering projects of $100 million + on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision‑making abilities.
