Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead IT‑focused projects within the UP Education group. The role is based in Ponsonby, with a hybrid work model (three days onsite, two days remote) and occasional travel to Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, delivery approaches, governance frameworks and plans to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
• Coordinate and lead cross‑functional teams, driving accountability, prioritisation and effective communication.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks, issues, dependencies and scope changes, escalating when necessary.
• Develop and execute change‑management activities to support stakeholder adoption and operational readiness.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors, providing transparent reporting and ensuring alignment throughout delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience delivering IT projects and managing multiple priorities.
• Strong knowledge of business systems and project delivery methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder, vendor, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Relevant project‑management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMI‑ACP, CSM, AgilePM).
• Desirable experience in the Australian or New Zealand education sector and familiarity with SMS, LMS and CRM platforms.
