Project Manager – Customer Works (HV/LV Networks)

About the role

Northpower is seeking a Project Manager who thrives on variety, enjoys solving real‑world problems and takes pride in delivering projects that power communities across Aotearoa. You will own customer‑initiated projects from the first design conversation through to delivery and close‑out, ensuring they are safe, on time, on budget and meet Northpower’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a wide range of high‑voltage (HV) and low‑voltage (LV) network projects, including overhead and underground services, upgrades, new connections and subdivision developments.
• Manage projects from design and pricing through execution and final reconciliation.
• Prepare detailed work packs, manage project costs, compliance requirements, defects and permits.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and internal teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project management, preferably within electrical, utilities or infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution networks (HV/LV preferred).
• Financial awareness with the ability to manage budgets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Level 6 Project Management qualification or equivalent experience.
• Full Class 1 driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
