Project Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a leading client‑side project management consultancy in New Zealand. You will oversee the full lifecycle of commercial, industrial, retail, education and residential developments, ensuring client interests are represented throughout.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all project activities from inception to completion.
• Define project scope, goals and deliverables.
• Manage programme schedules and cost control.
• Lead procurement and the tendering process.
• Engage stakeholders and build essential relationships.
• Direct design management and consent processes.
• Coordinate external consultants to optimise construction delivery.

Required profile

• Experience with a Project Management Consultancy or developer in NZ or Australia delivering vertical construction.
• Proven track record delivering commercial projects or large, complex residential developments.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with multiple stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects through the complete lifecycle.
• Knowledge of NZ Building Standards and tendering procedures.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Architecture or Engineering.
