Project Manager – Civil Infrastructure (Wellington)

About the role

Lead the delivery of key Three Waters, highways and civil infrastructure projects across Wellington for a market‑leading civil contractor. You will own projects from contract award through to completion, supported by senior leadership and a stable pipeline of work.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle from planning to final accounts.
• Develop programmes, resource plans and coordinate site teams.
• Administer contracts, including variations, progress claims and cost control.
• Maintain client and stakeholder relationships and provide clear reporting.
• Ensure health, safety, quality and environmental standards are met.
• Support and mentor site‑based staff as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing Three Waters, utilities or highways projects within civil contracting.
• Strong understanding of New Zealand construction contracts, preferably NZS3910.
• Background in civil engineering, construction management or a trade‑based pathway with project‑management experience.
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder and client management skills.
• Organised, solutions‑focused and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Full NZ driver’s licence and right to work in New Zealand.
