Project Manager – Civil Infrastructure

About the role

WSP is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its Taupō team, delivering civil infrastructure projects for local clients. You will lead project delivery from offer preparation through to completion, working closely with multidisciplinary engineers and technical specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare offers of service, project briefs, proposals and fee estimates.
• Plan and scope projects, managing programmes, budgets and financial performance.
• Lead and coordinate project teams to ensure delivery on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and high‑quality service.
• Oversee documentation, reporting, invoicing and change‑management processes.
• Identify and manage project risks in line with WSP standards.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities and contributing to bids.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering or a related discipline.
• Approximately 5+ years of experience in project management or a related civil engineering role, preferably in transportation or three‑waters engineering.
• Proven ability to manage projects from planning through delivery.
• Excellent communication and client‑relationship skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to prioritise competing demands.
• Collaborative team player with high professionalism, integrity and accountability.
• Full, clean driver’s licence.
