Project Manager – Civil Infrastructure (Central Otago)

About the role

The award‑winning South Island civil contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its Central Otago team. You will lead a variety of drainage, earthworks, subdivision and roading projects, overseeing delivery from award to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage contracts, including negotiation, administration and compliance.
• Lead staff recruitment, professional development and performance management.
• Oversee financial performance, project reporting and budgeting.
• Ensure quality, health and safety standards are met on all sites.
• Develop and maintain project plans, programmes and schedules.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end execution of multiple civil infrastructure projects.

Required profile

• Relevant civil engineering qualification.
• Approximately 5 years of experience in a Project Manager or Project Engineer role within New Zealand civil construction.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Current clean Class 1 driver licence.
• Willingness to undergo drug, alcohol and criminal background checks.
• Full New Zealand working rights.
