Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager – Infrastructure & Water

About the role

We are seeking experienced Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers to join our Wellington-based team delivering client-side infrastructure and water-network projects. This Expression of Interest offers both permanent and fixed-term positions within a high-performing group known for large-scale, complex deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the delivery of client-side construction, water and civil infrastructure projects.
• Manage contracts, refits and procurement processes.
• Engage with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
• Apply delivery methodologies such as Construct Only, Design and Build, or Early Contractor Involvement.
• Prioritise competing demands while maintaining strategic focus.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Construction, Property, Engineering or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in building, construction, water or civil infrastructure and contract management.
• Background in construction seeking to transition to or expand client-side experience.
• Familiarity with Construct Only, Design and Build, or Early Contractor Involvement approaches.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and think strategically.
• New Zealand citizenship or appropriate working rights.
• Project Management Institute of New Zealand membership or accreditations (desirable).
