Project Finance Lawyer – Auckland

About the role

Russell McVeagh is seeking an intermediate Project Finance Lawyer to join its leading Banking and Finance team in Auckland. You will work on large‑scale project finance matters across infrastructure, renewable energy, construction, property finance and corporate finance transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on large bank funding work and term securitisations.
• Support sustainability‑linked and proceeds‑based green borrowing transactions.
• Provide legal counsel on national infrastructure projects and other project finance matters.
• Collaborate with senior partners and contribute to the firm’s project finance offering.

Required profile

• Legal qualification with at least 4 years of experience in Banking and Finance law.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, think critically and collaborate effectively.
