About the role
Join sKids as a Programme or Assistant Programme Manager and become the friendly face that creates unforgettable mornings and afternoons for children across our North Shore sites. Working 10‑15 hours per week, you’ll lead engaging, hands‑on activities in a vibrant, outdoor‑learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Take full ownership of daily programme operations from set‑up to pack‑down.
- Lead and manage large groups of children, handling diverse behaviours and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment.
- Plan and deliver structured activities such as arts & crafts, sports, games, off‑site trips, baking, drama, and music.
- Proactively manage challenging behaviour using positive guidance strategies.
- Build strong relationships with parents, caregivers, and school staff as the primary onsite contact.
- Coach, delegate, and support Programme Assistants to maintain high standards and accountability.
- Prepare resources, plan activities, and set clear expectations to ensure seamless sessions.
Required profile
- Legal right to work in New Zealand (valid visa or citizenship).
- Reliable transport to reach sKids sites in Windy Ridge, Sunnynook and upcoming locations.
- Proven leadership experience working with groups of children (e.g., teaching, coaching, childcare, camps).
- Confidence in managing challenging behaviour and high‑energy group environments.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required.
