Programme Assistant - Newlands

About the role

sKids, part of the Junior Adventures Group, creates out-of-school experiences for children across New Zealand. As a Programme Assistant in Newlands, you will be the friendly face behind the afternoon sessions, working a minimum of 6 hours per week on Monday to Friday afternoons (2.30pm to 6.00pm). Availability from 2.30pm is essential, though finish times may vary; school holiday programmes are also available between 7am and 6pm.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support children in a range of fun, safe activities
• Keep the spaces tidy, clean and welcoming for children
• Help the Programme Manager run smooth, energetic sessions
• Notice any issues with behaviour, wellbeing or safety and share them with the manager

Required profile

• Right to work in New Zealand (valid visa or citizenship)
• Able to get to the Newlands site reliably by public transport and/or own vehicle
• Enthusiasm for working with children, from babysitting to coaching to volunteering
• Reliable and energetic
