Professor/Associate Professor – Occupational Therapy (Full‑time)

About the role

Auckland University of Technology invites senior occupational therapy academics to lead and teach within its internationally recognised programme. This permanent, full‑time position offers the chance to shape contemporary research, education and practice while contributing to culturally grounded and socially accountable health outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Occupational Therapy programme, including curriculum development and delivery.
• Conduct and supervise high‑impact research that advances occupational therapy knowledge and practice.
• Mentor junior staff and postgraduate students, fostering a collaborative and inclusive academic environment.
• Engage with Māori, Pacific and wider community partners to ensure culturally responsive teaching and research.
• Integrate innovative technologies into teaching and research activities.

Required profile

• Established academic with a record of research leadership in occupational therapy.
• Demonstrated commitment to culturally safe, socially accountable practice.
• Experience in higher‑education teaching at senior level.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse, interdisciplinary faculty.
