Production Technician

About the role

This is a hands‑on hardware production position at the core of Marama Labs' CloudSpec spectrophotometer business. You will build instruments from the ground up, assembling mechanical, electrical and optical sub‑systems, and carry out both dry and wet commissioning to validate performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble CloudSpec instruments to specification, including mechanical, electrical and optical components.
• Execute dry commissioning: run test scripts, capture data and verify device performance.
• Perform wet commissioning: prepare solutions, pipette samples and conduct chemical validation tests.
• Maintain production equipment and workspace to high standards.
• Document all test results, non‑conformances and process improvements clearly and accurately.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience producing high‑value hardware or instrumentation.
• Comfortable with both mechanical and electrical assembly work.
• Ability to learn and apply scientific principles such as UV‑Vis spectroscopy, optics and basic chemistry.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong reading comprehension for multi‑step procedures.
• Fast‑paced work style with a focus on getting things done.
