Production Technician – Finished Product IPT

About the role

Join a collaborative manufacturing team in a highly regulated GMP environment at our Upper Hutt site. As a Production Technician on the Finished Product Integrated Process Team (IPT), you will focus on packing operations while also supporting warehouse and Gamma activities to ensure vaccine products are handled safely and compliantly.

Key responsibilities

• Operate packing lines according to GMP standards and approved SOPs.
• Perform machine changeovers, basic setups, and accurate batch record completion.
• Review, update, and author SOPs, batch records, and worksheets within required timeframes.
• Support warehouse tasks such as inbound/outbound goods handling, material movements, and stock control.
• Assist with Gamma plant operations, including safe forklift and reach‑truck operation.
• Participate in investigations, deviations, and continuous‑improvement activities.
• Identify and control hazards in line with EHS requirements and maintain high housekeeping standards.

Required profile

• Practical experience in manufacturing and/or warehousing environments.
• Understanding of GMP principles (preferred).
• Strong organisational, time‑management and numeracy skills.
• Ability to work independently while building strong relationships with team members.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SAP.
• Forklift licence (reach‑truck endorsement highly desirable).
• Machine‑setting experience and good mechanical aptitude.
• Manual handling capability.
