Production Planner – Multi-site Manufacturing (NZ)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to join Aliaxis’ New Zealand operations. Based in Ashburton (with a possible Christchurch option), you will coordinate production planning across several manufacturing sites, ensuring supply performance, customer service and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise production schedules for multiple sites and lines.
• Develop supply plans that align with customer demand, inventory targets and plant capacity.
• Drive efficiency by minimising downtime, waste and bottlenecks.
• Lead site supply review meetings and support the S&OP process.
• Identify and mitigate supply‑and‑demand risks through proactive planning.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives in planning processes and systems.
• Maintain ERP master data such as BOMs, routings and planning parameters.
• Provide reporting and insights to aid operational decision‑making.
• Coordinate inter‑site stock transfers when required.

Required profile

• Seasoned experience in supply or production planning within manufacturing (plastics, FMCG or high‑speed environments preferred).
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across manufacturing, procurement, logistics, sales and customer service.
• Ability to work independently without direct reports.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP planning modules.
• Familiarity with APIC or Oliver Wright certification (desirable).
