Production Operator – Manufacturing Plant

About the role

We are looking for a Production Operator to join our GIB® Plasterboard manufacturing plant in New Zealand. You will work on an alternating shift pattern, ensuring continuous production of high‑quality plasterboard while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine checks of plant operations and control semi‑automated equipment via computer interfaces.
• Monitor and adjust chemical and physical parameters during board production.
• Replenish additive lines and operate machines to maintain uninterrupted production flow.
• Carry out quality‑assurance checks and promptly report any issues or faults.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and manage multiple production demands simultaneously.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks safely.
• Self‑motivated, able to work autonomously within a team.
• Strong commitment to safe work practices and belief that injuries are preventable.
• Good written and verbal communication skills with an aptitude for numerical calculations.
