Production Manager

About the role

We are a small trap manufacturer based in central Petone seeking a self‑motivated Production Manager to run the factory floor. You will work closely with the owner and the assembly team to ensure deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained for both local and international customers.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer orders and handle communications via email and phone.
• Set assembly schedules, prioritise orders, coordinate shipments and track deliveries.
• Maintain accurate stock levels in the inventory system and collaborate on re‑ordering and forecasting.
• Receive and de‑van incoming parts, store them safely and perform light forklift duties.
• Oversee assembly operations, conduct quality‑control checks and enforce procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and delegate tasks effectively.
• Proficient computer skills, preferably with inventory management software.
• Full driver’s licence; forklift licence is an advantage.
