Production Assembler – Manufacturing

About the role

Join ABB’s Napier manufacturing site as a Production Assembler, supporting the unit in meeting daily production targets. You will work on the shop floor, using machinery and equipment to assemble semi‑finished or final products, panels and systems while adhering to established processes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all types of assembly work, including packing when integrated with production lines.
• Operate manually or with light hand tools following standard operating procedures.
• Carry out regular quality testing as defined by the production process.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, instructions or blueprints for product assembly.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and collaborate with the Production Supervisor, IPU Leader, Planning, Manufacturing Engineers and Quality teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in assembly operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, instructions or blueprints.
• Strong focus on precision, quality control, safety and continuous improvement.
• Team‑oriented mindset with good problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Use of assembly tools and methodologies.
