Product Owner – Technology

About the role

This role offers the chance to shape one of New Zealand’s most widely used mobile banking experiences. As a Product Owner in the Platform team, you will define vision and roadmap for platform enhancements that impact millions of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Translate strategy into clear, impactful roadmaps aligned with customer and stakeholder needs.
• Own and prioritize a well‑defined backlog, ensuring focus on highest‑value outcomes.
• Partner with stakeholders to clarify requirements, connect the dots, and drive timely decisions.
• Lead Agile ceremonies, maintain delivery momentum, and proactively remove blockers.
• Collaborate with on‑shore and off‑shore teams, guide Business Analysts, and ensure high‑quality outputs.
• Turn complex, ambiguous challenges into actionable work while meeting governance, compliance, and documentation standards.
• Perform Business Analysis activities for on‑shore initiatives, including documentation and process mapping.

Required profile

• Strong experience as a Product Owner or similar role within a technology or platform‑led environment.
• Proven ability to work strategically and deliver high‑impact outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Comfort with ambiguity and complex problem solving.
