Product Engineer - NPI & Manufacturing Readiness

About the role

Join Trimble’s Product Engineering team to drive new product introductions from prototype to full production. You will work closely with design engineers, suppliers and global manufacturing partners to develop robust processes and ensure product quality and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the transition of innovative products from concept through the manufacturing lifecycle to delivery.
• Collaborate with design, purchasing and quality teams to qualify suppliers and define production methods.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis on manufacturing and test defects and implement corrective actions.
• Apply lean manufacturing practices to improve daily production efficiency and cost.
• Create and maintain process documentation, test plans and engineering change orders.
• Lead structured troubleshooting for manufacturing, test and field quality issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in electronics and mechanical manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to analyse production workflows, identify constraints and drive improvements.
• Professional fluency in English with strong cross‑functional communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with PCB assemblies (PCBAs) and electronics manufacturing.
• Development, validation and support of manufacturing test fixtures.
• Knowledge of inventory control, assembly processes, test systems and quality metrics.
• Root‑cause analysis and lean manufacturing techniques.
