Procurement Lead

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Procurement Lead to drive end‑to‑end procurement and subcontractor engagement for major infrastructure projects in New Zealand. You will shape sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships and ensure commercial and risk‑controlled delivery of goods, services and works.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute procurement strategies across multiple categories.
• Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, tendering, evaluation, negotiations, contracting and supplier onboarding.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support business continuity and long‑term value.
• Collaborate with operational, technical and commercial teams to forecast demand and define procurement requirements.
• Ensure procurement activities align with governance frameworks, risk controls and compliance obligations.
• Monitor supplier performance through regular reviews and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, tools and reporting.
• Provide commercial insights to support budgeting and cost forecasting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or supply chain.
• Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into procurement strategies.
• Understanding of procurement governance and risk management.
