Procurement Contract Officer

About the role
The Procurement Contract Officer role is designed for individuals building a career in procurement and contract management within the public sector. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, supporting a variety of internal and external stakeholders while ensuring contract activities align with Council priorities.
Key responsibilities
- Assist Engineer's Representatives, Procurement and Contracts Leads with contract management tasks.
- Develop and maintain contract management plans.
- Prepare extension and variation documentation.
- Coordinate correspondence to keep communication open between stakeholders and internal staff.
- Support data preparation for analysis and reporting.
- Utilise Microsoft Office and financial applications to manage contract information.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail and proactive attitude towards improving processes.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure in a dynamic, “pressure‑cooker” environment.
- Experience or interest in public or regulated sector contract management.
- Highly organised with an eye for detail.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Financial applications for contract and budget tracking.
