Processing Officer – Parcel Sorting (New Plymouth)

About the role

As a Processing Officer at NZ Post’s Taranaki Operations Centre, you will be part of the team that turns parcels and freight into ready‑to‑deliver shipments. Working on‑call during the afternoon shift, you help keep New Zealand’s parcel network moving smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight for courier pickup.
• Handle parcels safely, lifting up to 25 kg as required.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure parcels are routed correctly.
• Support a safe and secure work environment on the shop floor.

Required profile

• Available Monday‑Friday, 3:00 pm – 6:15 pm on a on‑call basis.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 25 kg and performing repetitive tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and good geographical knowledge of the region.
• Committed team player who follows safety procedures.
