Principal Civil Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

Robert Bird Group is seeking an experienced civil engineer to lead our Principal Civil Infrastructure team in Auckland. You will work on diverse, community‑focused projects and help drive innovative engineering delivery using cutting‑edge digital tools.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures and health & safety standards.
• Promote Robert Bird Group to existing and prospective clients, communicating our reputation for innovation and quality.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships that support business growth.
• Allocate projects and resources to individuals or teams under your direction.
• Lead major infrastructure projects, managing client relationships, design, and overall project delivery.

Required profile

• Qualified civil engineer with several years of experience leading teams.
• Strong understanding of engineering best practices, risk management and workplace safety.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
