About the role
We are seeking a qualified Primary Teacher to cover a four‑month parental leave at ACG Sunderland, a leading co‑educational school in West Auckland. The role runs from August 2026 to the end of Term 4 and involves delivering engaging, differentiated lessons across the primary year levels.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver motivating lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment and uphold student welfare at all times.
- Utilise classroom technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Participate in wider school activities and contribute to the school community.
Required profile
- Registered teacher in New Zealand with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., BA or MBA).
- Proven experience teaching the primary curriculum to a high standard.
- Professional, flexible, and able to work collaboratively within a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
