About the role

As the Practice Operations Manager for our Queenstown and Wānaka locations, you will lead a dedicated veterinary team, shape day‑to‑day operations and drive business success. This newly created senior role offers autonomy, development opportunities and a supportive, inclusive culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop staff across both practice sites.
• Oversee operational processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance with veterinary standards.
• Manage budgets, inventory and supplier relationships.
• Implement and monitor performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate scheduling, client communications and service delivery.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and growth plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing operations in a veterinary or comparable healthcare environment.
• Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while aligning with overall business objectives.
