Postdoctoral Researcher - AI Trainer

About the role

We are seeking a post‑doctoral researcher to train and evaluate AI chat‑bot models. Working remotely from New Zealand, you will design challenging physics problems, assess model outputs and help improve their logical performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and present diverse, complex physics questions to AI chat‑bots.
• Measure and analyse the correctness, consistency and speed of the models’ responses.
• Provide feedback and suggestions to enhance model quality and reduce errors.

Required profile

• Fluency in English at native or bilingual level.
• Current, in‑progress or completed PhD (or equivalent) in physics or a related discipline (e.g., astrophysics, biophysics, engineering, mathematics).
• Strong analytical mindset with inductive, deductive, physical, temporal and spatial reasoning abilities.
• Detail‑oriented and able to work independently on a flexible schedule.
