Platform Specialist

About the role

Foodies is seeking a Platform Specialist to join its IT team. You will be responsible for keeping the critical platforms that power our stores and services secure, stable, and high‑performing in a 24/7 environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build, support, and maintain enterprise platforms and business systems.
• Deliver enhancements, upgrades, and improvements to increase platform stability and performance.
• Monitor and support critical systems around the clock, responding to incidents and restoring services quickly.
• Implement automation and tooling to reduce manual effort and operational risk.
• Manage patching, upgrades, and platform lifecycle activities.
• Ensure systems remain secure through best‑practice configuration, access management, and vulnerability remediation.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives, reliability projects, and root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience supporting and operating enterprise platforms.
• Experience working in a 24/7 operational environment.
• Solid troubleshooting, incident management, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of platform security, patching, access controls, and vulnerability management.
• Experience delivering upgrades and platform changes safely.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to keep stakeholders informed.
• Strong sense of ownership and commitment to quality service delivery.
