Platform Architect

About the role

Zendesk is looking for a Platform Architect to lead technical strategy for Forethought AI. In this role you will partner with enterprise sales teams and prospective customers to design sophisticated workflow automations and voice capabilities that showcase the power of generative AI.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary pre‑sales technical leader, guiding relationships between clients, sales, and product engineering.
• Conduct discovery sessions, create detailed design specifications, and build rapid‑prototype mini‑applications to prove platform feasibility.
• Design and deliver AI‑driven demonstrations that translate complex technical workflows into clear business narratives for executives.
• Own the Proof of Value lifecycle, configuring trials, tracking success metrics, and ensuring smooth handover to implementation teams.
• Provide expert guidance on Zendesk’s integration capabilities, including APIs, webhooks, and cloud ecosystem patterns (AWS and other cloud technologies).
• Serve as a trusted advisor on generative AI best practices, helping customers optimize service operations for scale and satisfaction.
• Translate validated solution scopes into Statements of Work for post‑sales delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a client‑facing technical role such as Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Technical Consultant.
• Strong background in enterprise pre‑sales engagements and complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles.
• Deep understanding of modern web architectures, data flows, and system integration using standard web technologies.
