Plant Operator – Gas Cylinder Production

About the role

As a member of the Compressed Operations team, you will ensure that gas cylinders are safely filled, refurbished and ready for dispatch to customers. The role combines hands‑on production work with quality and safety monitoring in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Fill and refurbish a variety of BOC cylinders, including medical gases.
• Load, unload, move and prepare cylinders for dispatch.
• Perform pressure checks, complete filling logs and conduct basic analysis.
• Operate plant equipment and follow written procedures.
• Maintain health, safety and quality standards at all times.
• Pick and pack orders and support stock‑management activities.

Required profile

• Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one).
• Previous experience in production, manufacturing or warehousing.
• Confidence using basic computer systems and following procedures.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work on your feet all day in a physically demanding role.
