Plant Manager – Small Stock Processing

About the role

Thomas Foods International is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead the Stawell Small Stock processing plant in Victoria, Australia. The role focuses on continuous improvement, operational optimisation, workplace health and safety, profit‑and‑loss management and workforce performance.

Key responsibilities

• Overall management of the Small Stock processing plant.
• Ensuring workplace health and safety and food safety compliance.
• Profit‑and‑loss ownership and commercial performance.
• Strategic and operational planning in a GMP and HACCP environment.
• Stakeholder engagement, reporting and collaboration with project and operations leadership.

Required profile

• Formal qualifications in meat or food processing, or equivalent experience.
• Significant plant leadership experience, preferably in meat or food processing.
• Strong commercial mindset with ability to maximise revenue.
• Understanding of the Small Stock industry and full product utilisation.
• Proven ability to lead teams through change and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• High‑level communication, stakeholder engagement, delegation and time‑management skills.
