Plant Manager

About the role

Allied Concrete is seeking a hands‑on Plant Manager to lead its busy Penrose ready‑mix concrete plant. You will be responsible for safe, efficient production and delivery while fostering a high‑performance team culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations of the Penrose ready‑mix concrete plant.
• Oversee batching, production and delivery of concrete to meet customer expectations.
• Coordinate plant maintenance to ensure reliable, safe performance.
• Manage stock levels and fleet utilisation across the Auckland operation.
• Build strong client relationships in partnership with the sales team.
• Drive continuous improvement in plant performance and asset utilisation.

Required profile

• 5+ years’ experience leading teams in ready‑mix concrete operations.
• Proven ability to engage, motivate and develop diverse operational staff.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Commercial awareness with a focus on customer service, quality and sales.
• Confidence working with operational and financial budgets.
