Plant and Terminal Operator (Casual)

About the role

SGS is looking for responsible and reliable people to join its Napier team as Plant and Terminal Operators on a casual basis. The work suits someone with spare time who is energetic and wants to earn some extra money. It involves unloading fuel and bitumen ships, with additional duties depending on skills and attitude.

Key responsibilities

• Unload fuel and bitumen ships
• Follow operating procedures thoroughly and safely, including strict health and safety requirements
• Work in all weather conditions and perform manual handling
• Be available for day, night, weekend and public holiday shifts in a 24/7 operation

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage time and work in a busy environment
• Reliable and committed team member
• Physically fit
• Good verbal communication and accurate written record keeping
• Current full Class A New Zealand driver's licence (essential)
• Forklift certification is a plus
• Must pass a pre-employment medical and drug test and be eligible to live and work in New Zealand
