Physiotherapist

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and motivated physiotherapist to join our Nelson Tasman team on a full‑time basis. The role combines private orthopaedic hospital work, aged‑care, clinic‑based physiotherapy and vocational rehabilitation, with the flexibility to include weekend hospital shifts for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct client assessments and develop personalised treatment plans.
• Provide physiotherapy services across homes, workplaces, rest homes and community settings.
• Deliver care in private orthopaedic hospitals, aged‑care facilities and our Nelson clinic.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists, exercise therapists, psychologists and orthopaedic surgeons.
• Document assessments and progress in the Gensolve system.
• Liaise with funders, employers and colleagues to coordinate care.
• Participate in team meetings, training and service development.

Required profile

• Registered physiotherapist with experience in community and clinical settings.
• Ability to work independently and travel across the Nelson Tasman region.
• Strong communication skills for client education and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Gensolve documentation platform.
