Pharmacy Manager

About the role

Superdrug is seeking a GPhC‑registered pharmacist to lead one of its community pharmacies in Wellington, Somerset. The role combines clinical expertise with commercial responsibility, supporting the delivery of high‑quality healthcare services to the local community.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the pharmacy team to exceed performance targets and deliver exceptional patient care.
• Manage stock, daily operations and ensure compliance with GPhC (PSNI) standards.
• Drive commercial success while maintaining regulatory and NHS funding compliance.
• Develop and expand pharmacy and wider healthcare services to meet community needs.
• Utilise clinical expertise to support patients across a broad range of health issues.
• Collaborate with the Regional Healthcare Manager and contribute to shaping Superdrug’s future healthcare offering.

Required profile

• GPhC‑registered pharmacist (independent prescriber qualification welcomed but not essential).
• Community pharmacy experience preferred; newly qualified pharmacists are encouraged to apply.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Commercial awareness of NHS pharmacy funding.
• Passion for delivering outstanding patient care and ambition to progress to regional management.

Required skills

• Independent Prescriber qualification (if held)
