People Solutions Advisor – Leave, Pay & Policy

About the role

As a People Solutions Advisor you will shape the employee experience across Fonterra by providing expert HR advice on leave, pay and policy matters. You will support both individual and collective agreement employees, ensuring consistent, proactive guidance while contributing to a high‑performing team culture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a high volume of phone and email queries with care and efficiency.
• Deliver high‑quality advice that enables people leaders to make confident, timely decisions.
• Apply sound judgement to problem‑solve, coach, and escalate issues when required.
• Contribute to the rollout of new people initiatives, policies, processes and technology.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance service delivery and ways of working.

Required profile

• Experienced HR practitioner with strong people skills and a solutions‑focused mindset.
• Solid understanding of employment legislation and experience in fast‑paced, shared‑services HR environments.
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, balance risk and compliance, and maintain a positive employee experience.
• Experience working in a unionised environment and interpreting collective agreements.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset with collaborative and inquisitive problem‑solving approach.
• Thoughtful, resilient and motivated to make a meaningful contribution.
