People Advisor – Project Delivery

About the role

This fixed‑term position supports NZ Post’s transformation of people administration into a new delivery model. Based in Wellington’s CBD, you will work at the centre of a high‑profile project, designing, documenting and embedding HR processes while also providing day‑to‑day advisory support across People operations.

Key responsibilities

• Map, document and refine HR processes and workflows, including the creation of standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate knowledge‑transfer, training and hand‑over activities for multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Act as a primary point of contact for queries and support across delivery teams.
• Partner with stakeholders to embed new ways of working and drive process improvements.
• Identify automation opportunities, conduct quality checks and support continuous improvement.
• Provide advisory and case support, including escalation management.
• Contribute to quality assurance, risk management and ongoing improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR operations or shared‑services environments.
• Ability to simplify complex processes and improve ways of working.
• Strong communication skills with a talent for building trust quickly.
• Excellent organisational abilities and agility to manage competing priorities.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of HR systems, compliance requirements and end‑to‑end HR workflows.
