People Advisor

About the role

The People Advisor will support One NZ’s People Partnering team by delivering timely, practical HR services across the organisation. This role offers a varied mix of transactional HR work, data‑driven reporting, employee experience initiatives and project coordination, all within a forward‑looking, AI‑enabled telecom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate core HR processes including performance management, talent engagement, remuneration and workforce planning.
• Prepare and maintain HR reports, presentations, trackers and other documentation to support decision‑making.
• Assist with employment relations and change initiatives, ensuring complex matters progress efficiently.
• Act as the first point of contact for employee queries, providing guidance and escalating issues when necessary.
• Leverage data, digital tools and AI solutions to generate clear people insights and improve operational efficiency.
• Support HR projects by tracking activities, monitoring progress and following up on actions.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and improve HR processes while building trusted relationships across the business.

Required profile

• Developing knowledge of HR practices, employment processes and relevant legislation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Curious mindset with a genuine interest in people and employee experience.

Required skills

• Familiarity with HR data analysis and reporting tools.
• Basic proficiency in digital collaboration platforms and AI‑enabled HR solutions.
